My time with the amazing people at Himalayan Yoga Bliss was something that I will never forget, from the early morning meditations to the challenging yet rewarding course structure. My scope of understanding of the immense benefits of yoga through the experience I had there is something I would recommend to anyone! Felt completely renewed and awakened after just a month there.

I had the pleasure of studying under the tutelage of Yogi's Sonam and Vishnu during a 200hr YTTC at the beautiful Himalayan Yoga Bliss studio in Darjeeling, India. YTTC was brilliant in its breadth, scope, and depth. Obtaining my certification from Himalayan Yoga Bliss was a life changing experience.

I was lucky enough to find beautiful Sonam and Himalayan Yoga Bliss to do my YTTC200 last October. The place, high up in the the tea fields of Darjeeling is the epitome of serenity, peace and escapism and serves as a great place to discover more about yoga, the Himalayan region of India and yourself.

I spent one month here doing my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training. We were looked after so well - comfortable, clean accomodation and healthy freshly prepared food! I loved the personal touch. This is not a big impersonal ashram, you're not just another cog in the Indian yoga machine; instead there is a lovely supportive atmosphere - more like a small family! I have no problem recommending this place - I've been raving about it to family and friends since getting back to Ireland. On a practical level there was an interesting range of instructors, teaching various styles.

I had a great experience completing my 200 hour YTT at Himalayan Yoga Bliss and Wellness. The training was well organized and comprehensive not only including the physical practice of yoga, but also covering eastern philosophy, anatomy, meditation, breathing exercises, and more. The teachers were excellent and very supportive. The best part is the location - The studio is perched on the hills of Darjeeling overlooking the Himalayas - what a sight! I would definitely recommend this center to anyone looking to train the in traditional ways of yoga!

Ashtanga means 'Eight limbs or eight fold' path to liberation. However the modern day Ashtanga Vinyasa flow we practise is a contemporary physical form of Hatha yoga that has been put into a sequence and popularized by Shri K. Pattabhi Jois in the late 20th century and his yoga students, that is now taught in most of the Ashtanga yoga training worldwide.
Vinyasa yoga is one of the various styles of yoga that we practise in most of the Yoga schools today. The speciality of vinyasa yoga is our deeper connection to our breathe "The Prana". This form of yoga has a widely known health and mental benefits to those who practice it regularly, as it stimulates all the parts of your body, your mind and your spirit.
Hatha yoga is one of the most sought after and chosen style of yoga in the world and that’s not all, hatha yoga has strong philosophy behind this and I will illustrate most of them in this post. Hatha yoga is composed of six parts but very less people know that and are only aware of the two which are asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath control), alongside that hatha yoga is the most common type of yoga in the world and one of the ancient, classical style too.
